Catherine Porth

Catherine Porth has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Catherine currently works at the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center as the Director of Insights & Development since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Diversity Coordinator and CO.STARTERS Lead Instructor at the same organization from April 2020 to July 2021.

In 2017, Catherine founded Let Catherine'sSpeak and holds the position of Founder and Chief Advocate.

From 2018 to 2020, Catherine held various roles at Survature, including Senior Independent Project Consultant from February 2020 to December 2020, and Director of Business Development from March 2018 to January 2020. In their role as Director of Business Development, they enhanced the sales process and onboarding experience, while providing data-driven insights and strategies to clients.

Catherine also has experience working at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee as an MBA Candidate & Graduate Assistant from August 2017 to December 2018. In this role, they developed an essay grading rubric and conducted student surveys for a Business Ethics online course.

Additionally, Catherine has worked at Synergy Business Environments as a Project Designer/Account Manager, Pallas Textiles as a Sales Specialist, and The HON Company as a Solutions Account Associate. Catherine was also a Primary Instructor and Marketing Director at Nicole Rock's School of Dance.

Catherine's earliest work experience includes roles as a Customer Service Technician at United Fire Group and a Management Trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where they demonstrated excellent customer service and sales skills.

Catherine Porth completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from the Darla Moore School of Business from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Catherine Porth has obtained several certifications, including Microsoft Office Specialist Excel 2016 from Microsoft in October 2017, Certified Inside Sales Professional from the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals in March 2014, and Associate in Insurance from The Institutes in November 2012.
