Aquiles Barreto

Aquiles Barreto is a versatile media professional with experience in news production, graphic design, and advocacy. Currently serving as a News Producer at KOAA5 since June 2023, Barreto previously gained valuable experience as a Newsroom Intern. As a Graphic Web Designer at PartsHawk, Barreto successfully developed and executed multiple designs weekly, resulting in a 200% increase in social media followers over six months. Additionally, Barreto worked as a Photojournalist at Florida International University, producing timely story packages and contributing to daily news productions. In a leadership role with the Tuition Fairness Campaign, Barreto engaged in legislative advocacy to support DREAMERS' access to in-state tuition. Formerly, as Vice President of FirebirdTV, Barreto collaborated on numerous projects and showcased campus life through various media forms.
