Aleta Mawuenyegah

Aleta is a geomatics engineer and data scientist that is passionate about the global transition to clean energy through innovation. Aleta brings over three years of experience in the clean energy sector. Prior to joining Kobold, she was a Technical Associate and Special Projects Lead at Heliolytics where she focused on identifying potential causes of PV underperformance, in addition to consulting projects that contributed to the success of utility-scale solar assets. She has also worked at Tulloch Engineering, collecting field data using advanced surveying and measurement technologies.

Aleta has a B.Eng in Civil Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University where she identified land surveying and data collection best practices to reduce errors when creating elevation models from aerial imagery. She has also obtained an M.A.Sc in Geomatics from TMU with a focus on GIS and machine learning. Her thesis involved applying machine learning to geotagged social media data to identify urban functional zones, with results published in the International Journal of Digital Earth.
