Erika Ito

Erika is a geologist and data scientist interested in geoinformatics. She received her B.S. in Geology and Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating, she worked in the Macrostrat Laboratory where she developed text mining applications and helped to build a global database of geoscientific information.

Erika obtained her M.S. in Geoscience from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her thesis work involved using groundwater models and geostatistical techniques to assess wetland restoration efforts.
