Rory French

Rory is a data scientist with a background in Earth Science, GIS, and Remote Sensing. He received his B.A. in Earth and Planetary Science from UC Berkeley in 2018 and his M.A. in Earth and Planetary Science with a focus on Biometeorology and Remote Sensing from UC Berkeley in 2019. His research involved using GIS and Remote Sensing techniques to classify land vegetation for post-fire disturbance areas in San Diego County.

After graduating, he worked as an independent contractor for The Nature Conservancy where he managed and transformed a database of rasters and shapefiles to map the location of all coconut palm trees on Pacific coralline islands. He is excited to help move the world closer to a greener, more sustainable future.
