Vanessa Nenna

Data Scientist at KoBold Metals

Vanessa is a data scientist and geophysicist whose work focuses on the development of data-driven uncertainty quantification and decision analysis for natural resource exploration and management. She spent several years in the oil & gas industry, working as both a geoscientist and data scientist on exploration and production projects. Prior to that, she worked as a researcher in evidence-based groundwater management.

Vanessa earned her Ph.D. from Stanford University in Geophysics with an emphasis on hydrogeophysics applied to monitoring saltwater intrusion into coastal aquifers. She also holds an MPhil in Fluid Flow from Cambridge University and a BS degree in Geophysics and Economics from Colorado School of Mines.
