Here is the role:
Lead and oversee a team of Platforms/End-User Workspace engineers who are responsible for delivering formal requirements associated with End User Computing and Microsoft 365 service architecture, service design, service management and configuration management responsibilities as well as implementing the required End User Workspace Strategy and contributing to its ongoing transformation to mitigate and manage the associated risks in regard to our IT assets and services. Ensure that the IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, efficient, and scalable. Coordinate with other IT teams and vendors to deliver high-quality IT services and solutions.
This is what we need from you:
Manage the workload, performance, and development of the infrastructure engineers
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to the infrastructure engineers
Review and approve the design, engineering, maintenance, and support of the IT infrastructure
Ensure that the IT infrastructure meets the business requirements and industry standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Platforms issues and incidents
Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures for the platforms team
Plan and execute Platforms projects and initiatives
Monitor and report on the IT infrastructure status, performance, and capacity
Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to ensure alignment and integration of IT services and solutions
Would be great if you have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field
Extensive experience in IT infrastructure engineering or related role
Extensive of experience in leading or managing IT teams
Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, such as servers, network devices, storage systems, Azure, etc.
Proficient in various operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.
Skilled in various scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.
Familiar with various IT frameworks and methodologies, such as ITIL, Agile, DevOps, etc.
Ability to design, build, support, and manage complex IT infrastructure systems and solutions
Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team of IT professionals
Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, such as customers, management, vendors, etc.
