Sergio Montoya, CPA

Sergio Montoya, CPA, has over 20 years of work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Sergio currently serves as the Director of Finance at Koddi, an advertising technology company. In this role, they are responsible for leading the finance and accounting functions, managing and developing teams, providing business partnering and advisory, and overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

Prior to their position at Koddi, Montoya worked as the Corporate Controller at Revision Skincare, a leading marketer of skincare products. Sergio led the finance and accounting functions, managed teams, and implemented process and systems improvements. Sergio also handled budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and product and customer profitability analysis.

Montoya has also held positions as VP of Finance and Accounting at Texstars, LLC, an aerospace manufacturer, and Bledsoe Brace Systems, a medical device manufacturer. Sergio has experience with mergers and acquisitions, having been involved in the merger of Bledsoe Brace Systems with Breg, Inc.

Early in their career, Montoya worked at Motorola Solutions in various finance and accounting roles. Sergio served as the Chief Accountant & Controller for the Latin America region and later as the Controller for FP&A, Global Factories & Supply Chain. Sergio also held managerial positions in FP&A, accounting, and credit & collections.

Montoya began their career as an Internal Auditor at Bacardi-Martini, Inc., where they performed operational and financial reviews of international business units. Sergio also worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Alcatel-Lucent.

Montoya holds a CPA designation and started their career as a Senior Auditor at EY. Their expertise spans financial analysis, reporting, team management, process improvement, and mergers and acquisitions.
