Cheng Yang has worked in a variety of positions in the engineering field since 2003. Theircareer began as a Race Mechanic for both Skip Barber Racing School and LeMans Karting Center. In 2006, they became a Master Technician at BFRC. Cheng then moved on to become a Master Technician at Infiniti in 2011. In 2014, they became a Lead Technician at Jaguar Land Rover. In 2017, they were an Engineering Technician II at Tesla. Cheng then moved to NVIDIA in 2018, where they worked as an Engineering Technician. In 2019, they were an Engineering Test Technician at Zoox. In 2020, they became a Systems Integration Specialist at Rivian. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Kodiak Robotics as an Engineering Technician.
Cheng Yang's education history includes an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician from Sequoia Institute from 2003 to 2005 and a High School Diploma from Thomas a. Edison High School from 1997 to 2001. Yang also holds several certifications, including Tesla Engineering Technician II from Tesla obtained in June 2017, Level 2 Technician from Jaguar Land Rover North America obtained in March 2016, ASE L1 Advance Level Master Tech from ASE Training Managers Council, ASE Mastertech from ASE Training Managers Council, Infiniti Master Technician from Nissan Motor Corporation, M1 from California DMV, and Section 609 EPA Certification from ASE Training Managers Council.
