Learning Experience Designer at Kognity

Warwick Bailey has over 25 years of experience in the education and technology sectors. In 1993, they began their career as Head of Chemistry at Ashcroft Technology Academy, where they were awarded membership of the UK Royal Society for their contribution to curriculum innovation. Warwick then moved to Leipzig International School in 1996, where they set up a new International School in the former communist East German state, teaching maths, science and information technology. In 2001, they became Project Manager at the Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies at the University of Cambridge, where they designed online learning resources with the Centre for Educational Computing Initiatives at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and European universities. Warwick was also responsible for the successful implementation of a web-based system for an admissions process. In 2003, they founded Icodeon Ltd, a digital learning business based in the "Silicon Fen" around the University of Cambridge, UK. Warwick developed and sold software components to be integrated into e-learning platforms. In 2011, they became Director of Digital Learning Services Strategy at Pearson, where they were a complex product owner collaborating with cross-functional, global and remote teams. Warwick also integrated multiple SaaS platforms to deliver blended learning to 1000s of adult learners on career development programs. From 2016 to 2018, they were self-employed, consulting on digital services with Cambridge University Press and providing class, small group and one-to-one sixth-form education with Cambridge Leadership College and Cambridge Tutor Doctor. In 2018, they joined Study Group as a Learning Designer and Subject Lead, where they designed and built courses for university foundation and pre-masters programmes, deployed content to an innovative online higher education platform and was subject lead for IT and chemistry at Bellerbys Cambridge. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Kognity as a Learning Experience Designer, where they designed content for International Baccalaureate Diploma science courses and US high school programmes using Next Generation Science Standards.

Warwick Bailey PGCE CChem MRSC has a long history of education and certifications. Warwick obtained a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from Bangor University in Secondary Education and Teaching. Warwick also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham.
