Shaswat Panda

Shaswat Panda has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Shaswat started their career in 2021 as a Data Science and Business Analytics Intern at The Sparks Foundation, where they gained practical experience in regression, classification, clustering, and bagging and boosting techniques.

In the same year, they also worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Manastik, where they contributed to the development of NeuroRehab, a project for the rehabilitation of neurological disorder patients using AI and ML algorithms. Shaswat utilized computer vision techniques to monitor patients' rehabilitation exercises in real-time and deployed the project on the web using Flask, Heroku, and Streamlit.

Shaswat further expanded their expertise as an AI-ML and Computer Vision Engineer at Wurth IT India. Here, they focused on developing advanced surveillance and verification systems, including a warehouse hazard detection software that scans for security and health hazards in real-time. Their efforts resulted in an estimated reduction of hazards by over 90%. Shaswat also worked on an MLops object detection model that provided an integrated experience for consumers through visual and auditory feeds.

During their time as a Deep Learning and Computer Vision Specialist at Google Developer Student Club, VIT Chennai, Shaswat gained practical skills in these domains. Shaswat further enhanced their knowledge as an AI/ML Specialist at Microsoft Innovations Club VITC, where they represented the club as a student panelist at the 'AI: Disrupting the Disruptors' summit.

Shaswat's most recent role was as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Stupa Sport Analytics. Here, they delivered multiple end-to-end products that added substantial value to the company. Shaswat revolutionized table tennis by creating and deploying a broadcasting product that introduced real-time AI stats for the first time in the history of the sport. Shaswat also integrated the product at international events with minimal latency. Additionally, they developed an end-to-end pipeline to solve engineering problems using a single non-stereo camera.

In the future, Shaswat will be joining KoiReader - Unlock Smart Operations as a Computer Vision Engineer.

Shaswat Panda completed their high school education at Apeejay School from 2009 to 2019, earning a High School Diploma with a focus on Science. In 2019, they enrolled at Vellore Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree. Shaswat specialized in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and also studied Computer Science during their time at the institute. Shaswat is expected to graduate in 2023. In addition to their formal education, Shaswat has obtained various certifications, including "Java Programming: Solving Problems with Software" from Duke University, "Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs)" from DeepLearning.AI, "Introduction to Cybersecurity Tools & Cyber Attacks" from IBM, and "NetAcad Learning Transcript: Cisco Packet Tracer" from Cisco Networking Academy. Shaswat has also completed online courses like "Artificial Intelligence - A-Z" and "Kali Linux and Ethical Hacking" through Udemy.
