Michael Kwon

Michael Kwon has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. Michael began their career in 2005 as a Bioenvironmental Engineering Officer in the United States Air Force. Michael then worked as the Chief of Occupational & Environmental Health Operations at the 86th Medical Group in USAFE from 2010 to 2013. After that, they served as the Chief of Occupational, Environmental Health Policy and Programs at AFMRA/SG3/4PB from 2013 to 2016.

In 2016, Kwon became the Director of Operations for the 51st Aerospace Medicine Squadron and the Flight Commander for Bioenvironmental Engineering until 2017. Michael then became the Chief of the HQs DAF Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) Policy Branch at the Headquarters Department of the Air Force, Air Force Operations Group, Civil Support Division from 2017 to 2019.

From 2018 to the present, Kwon has been involved in various roles and organizations. Michael co-founded Kokomo Solutions (Kokomo24/7® Safety Cloud™) in 2018 and has been serving as a Co-Founder since then. In 2019, they became an HQs DAF/A10 SG Fellow at the Headquarters Department of the Air Force, A10 Strategic Deterrence & Nuclear Integration until 2020. In 2020, they joined USSOCOM and served as the Deputy Chief of the Russia CWMD Ops Planning Support Branch until 2021. Michael then became the Chief of the Indo-Pacific CWMD Ops Planning Support Branch at USSOCOM from 2021 to 2023.

Finally, in 2023, Kwon started working at The Joint Staff as the Branch Chief of Medical CBRN Defense Equipment Requirement.

Michael Kwon's education history is as follows:

- From 1999 to 2003, they attended Purdue University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

- In 2009 and 2010, they pursued a Master's degree in Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma.

- Between 2014 and 2016, they were a graduate program fellow at the National Defense University, where they focused on Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction.

- During the same period, from 2014 to 2016, they also attended Missouri State University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Defense Strategic Strategies - Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction.
