Shane Swager

Principal Engineer at Komatsu Mining

Shane Swager has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shane started their career as an Intern at Argonne National Laboratory in 2010, where they tested and programmed the RESRAD family of codes for modeling contaminated sites. After that, they worked as a Research Intern at Pegasus Toroidal Experiment, where they developed and maintained code to control different aspects of the experiment. In 2012, Shane joined Rose International as a CAD Engineer 2, and later moved on to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. as a Reliability Engineer 2. Since 2015, Shane has been employed at Komatsu Mining, starting as an Engineer 2 Advanced Automation and progressing to their current role as a Principal Engineer. Shane'sresponsibilities at Komatsu Mining have included leading shovel automation projects, advanced automation engineering, and serving as a principal-level engineer.

Shane Swager completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, attending from 2007 to 2012. Shane obtained the Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) certification from National Instruments in September 2020.
