Toby Cressman

Toby Cressman, MBA has extensive experience in the mining industry, primarily in product management and engineering roles. Toby started their career at GE Transportation as a Summer Intern in 2008. Later, they worked as a Student Engineer at Bucknell University SBDC. In 2009, Toby joined Joy Global as a Mechanical Engineer, where they focused on developing the JOYRIDE suspension system and conducting productivity studies. Toby also served as a Mechanical Engineer in the Product Excellence team, enhancing the NPD system and creating financial performance indicators. Toby then transitioned to the role of Mechanical Group Leader for Crushing before moving to Komatsu Mining in 2014. At Komatsu Mining, Toby assumed various positions, including Global Product Manager and Lead Engineer for Continuous Haulage, Global Chief Engineer for Haulage, Global Product Manager for Room and Pillar Products, and Senior Global Product Manager for Automation and Data Analytics. In these roles, they led teams in designing and developing mining equipment, managing product roadmaps, collaborating with engineering teams and partners, and understanding customers' automation and data needs.
