Esteban Muñoz

Esteban Muñoz is a proficient Revival Director and Assistant Director at Komische Oper Berlin since September 2016, responsible for maintaining the artistic integrity of productions. Experience includes roles as Assistant Director, Associate Director, Dramaturg, and Stage Manager with La Fura dels Baus, contributing to various productions. Muñoz served as Revival Director for "Fiddler on the Roof" at Opéra national du Rhin and helmed the revival of Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen" at National Taichung Theater. Additional positions include Assistant Director at the Salzburger Festspiele and Associate Director at Bayerische Staatsoper, along with earlier roles as Stage Manager at Bayerische Staatsoper and Associate Director for the Houston Grand Opera’s Wagnerian productions. Muñoz holds a Master of Arts in Dramaturgy from Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Studies, Musicology, and Art History from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
