Daniela Sparkman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Daniela started their career in 2005 with volunteer work at the Peace Tax Fund. In 2006, they volunteered at FIFA as well. Daniela then gained experience in event management as an intern at mydays GmbH from October 2006 to May 2007. In 2007, Daniela joined upjers GmbH & Co KG, where they worked in localization, community management, and social media until August 2014. During this time, they also worked as a freelance translator at Michel Institut from June to September 2007, and at Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg from June to July 2013. In 2010, Daniela became a freelance writer for evas teeplantage, a role they held until August 2014. In 2014, they also worked as a freelance translator for Stadt Feuchtwangen from April to August, and as a supervisor of extras at Kreuzgangspiele Feuchtwangen from June to August. Finally, they joined komoot as a community manager in November 2014 until the present.

From 1997 to 2004, Daniela Sparkman attended FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, where they earned their M.A. degree. During their time there, they studied English & American Philology, Theater, and Media. In 2001, they also briefly became an ERASMUS student at University College Cork, though no degree is specified during this period.
