Jani Virtanen

Jani Virtanen has extensive work experience in various roles within the company Konecranes. Jani began their career in 2007 as a Purchasing Engineer and Thesis worker, responsible for operative purchasing and subcontracting. Jani then worked as a Product Engineer, where they were in charge of crane operator cabins and electrical equipment. Jani later transitioned to a Project Manager role, overseeing ICS delivery projects in the EMEA region and serving as an SAP Key User for Project Management & Procurement. Jani then took on the position of Global Process Owner for Engineered-to-Order and later for Cranes Delivery. In 2018, they became the Director of IC Operations at Konecranes Demag UK Ltd, managing industrial and process cranes delivery operations. Currently, Jani Virtanen is the Director of Order Execution for Configured-To-Order Cranes & Light Lifting Equipment within the EMEA region at Konecranes.

Jani Virtanen obtained a Matriculation degree from Riihimäen lukio in 1999-2002. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Production technology from HAMK University of Applied Sciences in 2004-2008. Lastly, they completed their Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) from HAMK University of Applied Sciences in 2013-2022.
