Krzysztof Słonka

Krzysztof Słonka has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Krzysztof is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Kong Inc. since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Deliveroo from July 2021 to March 2022.

From 2018 to 2021, Krzysztof held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Allegro. During this time, they worked on various aspects of Service Mesh, including leading the development of mTLS and RBAC for securing traffic within the mesh. Krzysztof also implemented a multi-cloud feature in Allegro's open-source Control Plane, Envoy Control.

Before joining Allegro, Krzysztof worked as an Instructor at Coders Lab, where they taught JavaScript for front-end developers and introduced them to the basics of React.js. Krzysztof held this position from an unspecified date in 2016 until April 2019.

In 2017, Krzysztof was a Software Engineer at Silvair, where they designed and implemented an optimization algorithm for the Bluetooth Mesh Configuration Language, significantly improving reconfiguration speed. Krzysztof also implemented a centralised logging and alerting system, reducing Mean Time to Identify (MTTI) from unknown to a few seconds.

From 2014 to 2017, Krzysztof worked as a Software Engineer at Schibsted Tech Polska, primarily focusing on projects for the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten, such as ap.no, aptv.no, ABtool, and Chinook. Krzysztof also had an internship position at Schibsted Tech Polska from July 2014 to August 2014.

Krzysztof's earliest recorded work experience was as an intern at KompMar in 2009, where they worked from April to May.

From 2007 to 2011, Krzysztof Słonka attended Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych Elektrycznych i Mechanicznych w Bielsku-Białej, where they earned a degree in Technik specializing in Technik Informatyk. Following this, from 2011 to 2015, they pursued higher education at AGH University of Science and Technology, obtaining an Inżynier (Inż.) degree in Informatyka.
