Darafei Praliaskouski has a diverse work experience, spanning multiple companies and roles. In 2010, they became a member of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. In the same year, they joined GK SKANEX as a "kot" and stayed there until 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they worked at Akavita in the same role. In 2012, they became an R&D Engineer at MapsWithMe. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Programmer at Wargaming.net. In 2015, they joined Juno Ltd. as a GIS Engineer and stayed until 2018. In 2018, Darafei Praliaskouski took on the role of Head of Product at Kontur, Inc., where they built multiple products for geospatial analysis. In the same year, they also became a Product Manager / Geospatial at ObjectStyle and held the position until 2020. In 2017, they became a Project Steering Committee member at PostGIS and made significant contributions to the project. Their most recent role was as a Maps Engineering Expert at Huawei from 2020 to 2021.
Darafei Praliaskouski attended Lyceum No. 2 in Minsk from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Mathematics and Informatics. After that, they enrolled in Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. However, they were expelled from the university and did not complete their degree in Radioinformatics.
In terms of additional certifications, Darafei obtained a certification in "Foundations and Principles of Project Management" from the School of Project Management by Aleksey Minkievich in April 2018. Darafei also received a certification in "Management 3.0" from Jurgen Appelo and Janina Lashkevich in March 2017.
