Shaun Heckel

Shaun Heckel has extensive work experience in the field of IT and management. Shaun currently holds the position of Director of IT at Koons of Silver Spring, Inc. since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior System Engineer at SDS Solutions Inc from December 2019 to November 2022, where they were responsible for deploying and maintaining Centrify agent on multiple servers and creating Active Directory security groups.

Before joining SDS Solutions Inc, Shaun served as the IT Director at Koons of Silver Spring, Inc. from January 2017 to December 2019. In this role, they played a key role in designing and deploying the network infrastructure for a recent dealership acquisition. Shaun also oversaw technical development and IT projects aligned with the company's goals.

Shaun's previous experience includes working as a Service Manager at Tesla from September 2015 to December 2016, and as a Network/Systems Technician at Koons Automotive Companies from July 2014 to August 2015. Shaun also held positions as an Assistant Service Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Catonsville from August 2013 to July 2014 and at Lexus of Silver Spring from February 2003 to July 2013. Their earlier career involved being a Lead Mobile Electronics Installer at Circuit City Stores from October 2001 to January 2003.

Shaun Heckel attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2012 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networks and Security. In addition, they hold certifications in CompTIA Network+, TestOut PC Pro, TestOut Network Pro, and ASE C1 - Automobile Service Consultant.
