Doris Korda

CEO at Korda Institute for Teaching

Doris Korda has a diverse range of work experience spanning over multiple industries. Doris is currently the CEO of the Korda Institute for Teaching, a nonprofit organization focused on transforming the education system. Prior to this, they served as a Trustee for Friends of the Cleveland School of the Arts.

Before their work in education, Doris held various roles at Hawken School, including Associate Head of School and Creator of the Entrepreneurial Studies Program. Doris also served as the Math Department Chair and Teacher at The Columbus Academy for 14 years.

Earlier in their career, Doris worked in the corporate sector at Sterling Commerce, where they held the positions of Vice President, Commerce Internet Business Unit and Group V.P. and V.P. Marketing. Doris was responsible for strategic planning, product management, and all marketing functions.

Prior to joining Sterling Commerce, Doris held leadership positions at Ordernet Services Division, Sterling Software, where they managed product management and marketing organizations and was responsible for strategic planning and implementation. Doris also served as the Director of Software Products at Ordernet Services Division.

Earlier in their career, Doris worked at Information Dimensions, Inc. as the Manager of Market Development and at AT&T Bell Laboratories as a Marketing Manager. Doris began their career at AT&T Information Systems as an Area Staff Manager and later as a System Engineer.

Doris Korda earned a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University between 1977 and 1981. Doris later pursued further education, earning a M.A. in Independent School Leadership from Columbia University from 2009 to 2011.
