Mateusz Maciejewski

Vice President, Head Of Data Science at Korro Bio

Mateusz Maciejewski has a wealth of experience in the field of data science. Mateusz began their career in 2008 as a Doctoral Researcher at the National Institutes of Health, where they completed their PhD in Computational Biophysics. In 2007, they had a summer internship in the Laboratory of Prof. Mark Bradley at the University of Edinburgh, and an undergraduate research position at the School of Chemistry. Mateusz also had an internship in Nanotechnology in the Laboratory of Prof. Karen Kavanagh at Simon Fraser University. In 2013, they became a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. In 2014, they were appointed Head of Data Science at Pfizer, where they were involved in project leadership and management, development of an in-house ML pipeline, and integration of various patient-level data. In 2018, they took on the role of Early Career Mentor at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), providing mentorship to undergraduate students at top universities. In 2020, they became Alumni Director at the International Biomedical Research Alliance. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Vice President and Head of Data Science at Korro Bio, Inc.

Mateusz Maciejewski began their educational journey in 2006, when they obtained a BSc from The University of Edinburgh. Mateusz continued their studies at the same university, earning a PhD in Computational Biophysics in 2012. Following this, they completed a Postdoc at the University of Cambridge in Cheminformatics & Computational Biology in 2013. Mateusz also obtained a certification in Probabilistic Graphical Models Specialization from Coursera.
