Rafael Zambrano

Rafael Zambrano has extensive experience in the solar energy industry. Rafael began their career at Vivint Solar in 2008, where they played a key role in building the first San Diego branch and developing one of the first one-day installation teams in the city. During their tenure, they focused on warehouse management, process structuring, and training new employees.

Rafael joined SolarCity in 2010, where they took on the role of Service Team Manager and played a crucial part in developing all aspects of the company. Rafael contributed to the growth and efficiency of various departments, including electrical, inspections, site survey, warehouse protocol, installation efficiency, and crew formation.

In 2017, Zambrano moved to GC Electric Co as a Field Operations Manager. Rafael was responsible for establishing procedures and creating efficient installation crews for residential, roofing, and electrical projects.

Rafael then joined Empire Solar Group in 2020 as the Director of Operations - Western US. Their responsibilities included overseeing PV installations, solar batteries, power chargers, backup generators, roofing, inspections, site surveys, warehouse management, and partner dealer support. Rafael focused on using technology to improve efficiency in all departments and ensure overall success. Additionally, they took on the role of California Regional Manager, where they further contributed to the growth and success of the company.

In 2021, Zambrano served as the Director of Western - US at Suntuity, where they played a key role in the company's operations. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Operations at KOTA Energy Group.

Rafael Zambrano attended Southwestern University from 1996 to 1998, where they studied Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Business. Rafael did not complete a specific degree during this time. In terms of additional certifications, Rafael obtained the Osha 30 certification from OSHAcademy Safety and Health Training in June 2020. In May 2017, they obtained the Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from OSHA 10 Hour Training. Rafael also holds certifications such as the ComTrain Safety Certification, Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) from SolarCity, LG RESU CERTIFIED from LG Chem Power, Inc., and Solar Edge Certified from SolarEdge Technologies.
