Halla Koudsi

Halla Koudsi has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Halla most recently worked at Kotn, starting in April 2019 as the Design Director for Apparel & Accessories before being promoted to the role of Senior Director of Product Design in July 2021.

Before their time at Kotn, Halla worked at Bad Accents as a Senior Art Director from December 2017 to April 2019.

In 2017, Halla held the position of Design Director for Private Label Brands at Sears Canada, where they led the rebranding of the private label and curated a line of clothing and accessories targeting millennials and urbanites. Halla also built a team of 35 designers and was responsible for trend forecasting, sourcing fabrics and manufacturers, and establishing a new brand image.

From 2011 to 2017, Halla worked as a Print and Graphics Editor at WGSN, where they supplied artwork to the creative intelligence service for the apparel and retail industries.

Prior to joining WGSN, Halla was the Creative Director at PRNT Studio from September 2009 to January 2017. Their responsibilities included creating custom-made surface design artwork and collaborating with local and international brands on textile development and production.

Halla also gained experience as a Menswear Designer at Roots from March 2012 to July 2015. Their role involved designing and developing menswear apparel categories, managing a team, conducting trend research, and overseeing the production process. Halla also worked on a collaborative womens athletic capsule collection with Liberty London.

Additionally, Halla has worked as a Mens Design Consultant at PYA Importer from October 2011 to March 2012, an Activewear Design Consultant at PTX Performance from September 2010 to March 2012, and a Design Consultant at Joe Fresh from May 2010 to October 2011.

From 2003 to 2007, Halla Koudsi attended Ryerson University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Design degree in Fashion Communication and Business Studies.
