Shawn Shorrock

Shawn Shorrock has extensive work experience in various roles related to commercial and sales management. Shawn is currently working as the Global Commercial VP at Koura Global since March 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Sales Director, Americas - Healthcare, Consumer Goods, Construction, and Environment at Solvay from June 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining Solvay, Shorrock had an impressive career at Solvay Dental 360™, where they served as the Global Director from July 2015 to June 2020. During their tenure, they played a pivotal role in establishing and leading a new business line, Solvay Dental 360, focused on innovative polymeric solutions for the dental market. Shawn successfully launched the initial product, Ultaire AKP, in the US, UK, and German markets in March 2017.

Prior to their time at Solvay Dental 360™, Shorrock held various positions at Solvay Specialty Polymers. Shawn started as a Business Development Representative in the Western Territory, responsible for new business development in the Western US market. Shawn then progressed to become the Global Market Manager in the healthcare sector, where they spearheaded initiatives to increase market penetration by offering previously un-offered polymers.

Shorrock's expertise in the healthcare sector led to their appointment as the Global Healthcare Market Manager and Director of Global Regulatory Affairs for Healthcare at Solvay Specialty Polymers. In this dual role, they provided strategic leadership in global regulatory strategy and supported clients' use of Solvay's materials by liaising with regulatory officials and experts.

Before Solvay Specialty Polymers, Shorrock worked at Wheelabrator as an Application Engineer and Product Manager from June 1996 to June 2000. In this role, they collaborated with the Foundry Equipment Specialty Sales Team to design customized cleaning equipment for the industry.

Overall, Shorrock's work experience demonstrates their expertise in commercial and sales management, the establishment of new business lines, strategic leadership, and extensive knowledge of regulatory affairs in the healthcare sector.

Shawn Shorrock attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In 2005, they participated in an executive education program on Marketing Strategy at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. In 2007, they completed an executive education program in Finance at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
