Giannis Karantaidis

Giannis Karantaidis is a Research Associate at MarineTraffic since September 2021, also serving as an Intern Researcher. Simultaneously, Giannis has been a Rural and Surveying Engineer and member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since July 2021. Giannis briefly worked as a Task Manager and Contributor for the FruitPunch AI FOR EARTH CHALLENGE, collaborating with the European Space Agency on research related to the Marine Litter Phenomenon. Additional experience includes military service with the Greek Army, focusing on material management at Assyros camp, and a prior role as a Rural and Surveying Engineer at TREDIT S.A., where geospatial data analysis was conducted using GIS software. Giannis holds a Master of Science in Computational Intelligence and Digital Media from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master of Engineering with a major in Cadastre, Photogrammetry, and Cartography from the same institution.
