Nathan Schut

Nathan Schut has a diverse background in engineering and technical roles. Nathan currently works as an Application Engineer at KPM Analytics since April 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at Enclosures Direct Inc, where they held two positions. Nathan served as an Engineering Team Lead from September 2021 to March 2022, where they led the mechanical design team and worked on industrial automation projects. Before that, they worked as an Automation Specialist from October 2019 to September 2021, focusing on developing and implementing automated manufacturing solutions.

Earlier in their career, Nathan worked as a Research Assistant at Carleton University from September 2016 to May 2019. In this role, they designed and implemented a vision-based orientation sensor and closed-loop orientation controller. Before that, they gained experience in the retail sector as an Overnight Support at Walmart Canada from December 2015 to August 2016.

Nathan's professional journey began as a Mechanical Design Intern at Ciena from May 2012 to August 2013. Nathan was responsible for designing and manufacturing sheet metal components and served as the lead mechanical designer for an electronic test equipment project. Nathan also has experience working as a Line Cook at The Hot Potato from May 2010 to August 2010.

Nathan Schut completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering at Carleton University from 2009 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution from 2016 to 2019.
