Roel Polman has a diverse and extensive work experience. Roel started their career with an internship at Shell in 2003. After that, they worked at FrieslandCampina from 2004 to 2015, holding various positions such as Business Unit Controller and Corporate M&A controller. During their time at FrieslandCampina, they played a key role in strategy development, business case development, and post-merger integration. Roel also led the market introduction of the Valess brand in Germany. In 2011, they became the Finance Director of FrieslandCampina Spain, where they were responsible for finance, accounting, treasury, tax, reporting, internal control, and ICT. In 2015, they joined Danone as the Head of business controlling milk category Europe, where they led a European controlling team and was instrumental in optimizing milk and dairy ingredient costs. Currently, since December 2019, they are working at Kramp as the International Finance Director, responsible for control, accounting, shared services, and leading the finance transformation program 'Blueprint'. Roel also contributes to functional strategy development as part of Strategy2025.

Roel Polman's education history includes a Future Leader Program at Hult Ashridge from 2012 to 2013. Roel also completed an Executive Master of Finance and Control/Register Controller (RC) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) without specified years of study. Additionally, Roel obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics from the University of Groningen in 2004. Prior to that, they participated in an International Exchange Program at Northern Arizona University-The W. A. Franke College of Business in 2000.
