Roger Steens

Roger Steens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainability and marketing across various industries. Currently serving as the Sustainability Manager at Kraton Corporation since October 2020, Roger Steens focuses on managing the long-term challenges and opportunities presented by the transition to a bio-based and circular economy while integrating sustainability as a key business driver. Prior to this role, Roger Steens held significant positions at Tata Steel in Europe, including Head of Sustainability, where sustainability became central to the company's mission, and Head of Brand and Marketing Communication, overseeing a team of over 25 professionals. Roger Steens also worked at Corus as Marketing Manager for Packaging Steels and as Account Manager, and began a career at Shell Chemicals as European Sales Manager for PolyButylene. Roger Steens holds a Master's Degree in Marketing from TIAS School for Business and Society and a Drs. in Chemistry from Leiden University.
