Sandy Rockind

Sandy Rockind has an extensive work experience in creative direction, photography, and brand development. In 2022, they began working as the Creative Director for The Krazy Coupon Lady. In 2021, they started working as a Freelance Creative/Art Director, providing creative direction, brand development, website design, and package design for fashion and home goods retailers, as well as a baby product company. sandy also provided creative direction, creative strategy, and social media management for a new product start-up. From 2014-2021, Sandy worked for 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. as the Creative Director, Special Projects. During this time, they leveraged creative ideation and strategic execution skills to transform client briefs into compelling product and brand campaigns. sandy also established and maintained robust partnerships with emerging brands, led creative direction and product strategy execution, and provided strategic direction for an 18-member team of freelance/in-house photographers, stylists, production assistants, and retouchers. From 2008-2014, Sandy worked as the Senior Photographer, Manager for Provide Commerce, where they spearheaded the creation of photography and imagery products for brands, oversaw the entire creative process and aesthetic decision-making, hired and managed a 9-member team of creatives, and developed the in-house studio. From 2000-2008, they worked as a Creative Director/Photographer for Nationwide Freelance, providing innovative creative direction and high-quality photography of commercial/editorial subjects for a variety of corporate and private clients.

Sandy Rockind obtained a Professional Degree in Commercial Photography from the Portfolio Center School of Advertising and Design in 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in English and Communications from the University of Michigan in 1993. In 2017, they also obtained a Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology from The Floruishing Center.
