Marissa Chattler

Marissa Chattler is an experienced educator currently serving as a Middle School Humanities teacher at Krieger Schechter Day School since August 2023, focusing on history, English, and writing. Previously, Marissa spent a decade at Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School of the Nation's Capital, teaching 7th Grade Humanities and 5th Grade General Studies, while also engaging in extracurricular roles such as yearbook editor/advisor and Student Council Advisor. Prior experience includes teaching positions at Solomon Schechter Day School of Raritan Valley and Congregations Beth Israel and Neve Shalom, in addition to a long-term substitute position at Golda Och Academy and a student teaching role at Edgar Middle School. Marissa holds a Master of Education in Social Studies from Rutgers Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor's degree in History from Rutgers University.
