Maria Gorbea Zuffanelli

Middle School Humanities Teacher at San Francisco Friends School

Maria Gorbea Zuffanelli is a dedicated educator with experience as a Humanities Teacher at San Francisco Friends School since August 2022, where responsibilities include instructing 5th grade students and serving as a 5th grade advisor. In addition, Maria has been a Camp Director at Galileo Learning since January 2018, overseeing the hiring and support of over 50 summer staff and providing enriching educational experiences for more than 1,700 campers each summer. Previous roles include serving as a Middle School Support Teacher and long-term substitute Humanities Teacher at Presidio Hill School, as well as teaching English Composition as a Faculty Lecturer and Graduate Teaching Associate at San Francisco State University. Maria holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from San Francisco State University.
