200 Hour Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor at Kripalu

Liz Anema has a diverse work experience spanning several different roles and industries. Elizabeth (Liz) started their career in 1981 as a Broadcast Auditor at Campbell Mithun, where they quickly advanced to become the Coordinator of the Broadcast area. Elizabeth (Liz) then worked at Northwest Airlines from 1983 to 1991, handling both domestic and international calls and serving as an Administrative Assistant in the Northwest Sales Office in Chicago.

In 2000, Liz joined The Marsh, A Center for Balance and Fitness, where they served as the Group Exercise Director, Yoga & Group Exercise Instructor, and programming creator. Elizabeth (Liz) was responsible for managing over 30 employees and independent contractors, scheduling and overseeing 50+ group exercise classes per week, and teaching various class formats such as Kripalu Yoga, Nia, Body Pump, Tai Chi, and Step.

In addition to their role at The Marsh, Liz also worked as a Studio Director at the YMCA at The Marsh, further showcasing their leadership and management skills.

Liz's passion for yoga led their to become a 200 Hour Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2001.

Elizabeth (Liz) expanded their expertise in 2012 by joining Nia Technique as a Nia instructor.

Overall, Liz's work experience highlights their strong leadership abilities, expertise in fitness and yoga instruction, and their ability to thrive in both corporate and wellness environments.

Elizabeth (Liz) Anema began their education in 1973 at Homewood Flossmoor High School, where they completed the College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Elizabeth (Liz) then went on to attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Communications.
