Brandon Maytham

Brandon Maytham has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and security. Brandon started their career as a Video Editor and IT Support Technician at Geoff Goldswain Photography in 2015, where they also served various IT functions. In 2016, they worked as a Consultant and Independent Business Owner at X-Stream Studio's.

In 2017, Brandon worked part-time as an Apple Technical Specialist at Apple Retail Inc. and then founded their own company called Lycaon Security Solutions later that year.

In 2018, they joined Currencycloud as an End User Support Engineer, where they supported internal teams, managed mobile device deployments, and worked on network troubleshooting and redesign. Brandon also assisted the security team in maintaining controls related to NIST framework, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001.

In 2020, Brandon joined Ably as a Senior Security Engineer and later became the Head of Information Technology. Their responsibilities included developing and maintaining the information security program, maintaining SOC 2 Type 2 certification, refining and implementing policies and security controls, and conducting risk management. Brandon also served as a Data Protection Officer, created and maintained GDPR procedures, conducted internal audits, hardened AWS security, provided security awareness training, and handled incident response.

Currently, Brandon is working at Kroo Bank as a Senior Security Engineer, starting in 2023.

Brandon Maytham attended Durban University of Technology from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Diploma in Post Production.
