Liang Z.

Liang Z. began their work experience as a Customer Service Officer at HSBC in April 2013. They then worked as a Senior Customer Service Officer, where they acted as the Mortgage Ambassador for the Birmingham New Street branch and implemented initiatives to improve staff engagement and customer satisfaction.

In April 2015, Liang Z. transitioned to the role of Relationship Support Associate, where they played a key role in implementing changes related to regulated mortgage contracts, improving the credit application process, and achieving high productivity.

From September 2016 to May 2018, Liang Z. served as the Client Selection Secretariat Case Officer, managing triage operations and quality checking for offshore teams. Following this role, Liang Z. became the Client Selection Secretariat Manager, introducing SLA measures and weekly priority lists to preventional activities and aligning the focus on process improvements and efficiency.

In May 2018, Liang Z. switched to the role of Internal Control Design Lead Manager, leading the Internal Control Design team to improve governance processes and ensure consistency across various brands within HSBC.

From September 2019 to August 2021, Liang Z. worked as a Conduct and Control Manager, contributing to the creation of Read Across capabilities and conducting analysis on risks and internal events.

In 2021, Liang Z. joined Wise as a Senior Risk Specialist - Group Risk, before moving to Shawbrook Bank as a Compliance Manager - Regulatory Advisory in April 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Compliance Officer at Kroo Bank, starting in December 2022.

Liang Z. began their education journey in 2009 at The University of Auckland. From 2009 to 2012, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology, alongside a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with majors in Economics and International Trade. In 2014, Liang Z. attended The London Institute of Banking & Finance and obtained a Certificate of Retail Banking Conduct of Business. Then, in 2017, they pursued further education at the International Compliance Association, earning a Certificate in Anti Money Laundering. Liang Z.'s most recent educational achievement was in 2022 when they completed a Certificate in Climate Change from The Chartered Banker Institute.
