Witold Pawlak

Witold Pawlak has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies in the banking industry. Witold is currently serving as the Head of Underwriting and Risk Analytics at Kroo Bank since 2022.

Prior to this role, they worked at Vanquis Bank from 2016 to 2022. At Vanquis Bank, Witold held various positions, including Data & Analytics - Insight Analytics Manager, Portfolio Insight Manager, Portfolio Performance and Credit Policy Lead, and Customer Value Management Lead. In these roles, they were responsible for managing teams, delivering analytical insights, implementing strategic changes, assessing risks and controls, and optimizing credit strategies.

Before joining Vanquis Bank, Witold worked at Barclaycard from 2013 to 2016. Witold served as the Credit Risk - Portfolio Manager for Credit Cards & Customer Analytics, and later as the Credit Risk - Portfolio Manager for Cash Loans & Revolving Loans. In these roles, they worked with multiple risk teams across different countries, optimized risk strategies, managed credit portfolios, and collaborated with various departments to ensure customer-centric growth initiatives.

Prior to their tenure at Barclaycard, Witold worked at mBank S.A. from 2007 to 2013. Witold held a lead analyst position and worked on credit policy, management information, decision systems, and project management for secured and unsecured loans. Witold played a key role in transitioning from a legacy model to a customer-centric and fully digital model, implementing credit risk assessment strategies, and launching successful cross-selling campaigns.

Earlier in their career, Witold worked at Bank Pekao from 2002 to 2007. Witold held roles in credit policy, methodologies, and business development, where they led projects, managed credit risk in corporate and commercial banking, and supported the development of online banking services.

Witold's professional journey began as a Black Jack Dealer at Harrah's in 2002.

Throughout their career, Witold Pawlak has demonstrated strong expertise in risk analytics, credit strategy, portfolio management, and customer value management.

Witold Pawlak pursued their education with a Master's degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from the University of Lodz, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Later, they engaged in Postgraduate Studies at the University of Warsaw, specializing in Managing Commercial Bank, Money & Banking, from 2005 to 2006.
