Richard Hanton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Richard started their career at Iowa State University as an Engineering Precollegiate Programs Student Worker in 2007. Richard then worked as a Systems Engineering Co-op at Rockwell Collins from May 2009 to August 2011.

In November 2008, Richard became the Chairman of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), where they were responsible for expanding the national reach of the largest student-run non-profit space advocacy group.

Richard joined Lockheed Martin in January 2012 and held various roles, including GAP-CIE Software Engineer Associate, GSPS Software Engineer Associate, and LDP / GSPS Software Engineer. During their time at Lockheed Martin, Richard worked on designing, estimating, and constructing web-based systems for managing targeting information within STRATCOM.

Richard joined SkyTouch Technology as a Software Engineer II in November 2015. Richard supported the transition from hosted web servers to Amazon AWS cloud and worked on improving the company's Electronic Data Interchange software. Richard also led a team in developing a new feature that allowed hotels to assign rooms more efficiently.

From August 2011 to June 2013, Richard worked at Yuri's Night as a Web Content Coordinator and later became the Media Team Chair. Richard managed online content for party planners and partygoers.

Since September 2018, Richard has been working at KUBRA, starting as a Software Engineer and progressing to become a Senior Manager of Communications Product Engineering. Their responsibilities include developing code for KUBRA IQ, designing AWS resources, and facilitating the development of new services for customers.

Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated expertise in Java programming, web development, and software engineering.

Richard Hanton completed their education in a chronological manner. From 2002 to 2006, they attended Totino-Grace High School, although no degree or field of study is specified for this period. Richard then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at Iowa State University from 2006 to 2011.
