Leon Koay

Leon Koay is an Independent Non-Executive Director at Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd. Leon has over 25 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

Prior to their current role, Koay was Managing Director & Regional Head, Shipping Finance, Structured Finance Group at Standard Chartered Bank from January 2010 to April 2011. Leon was also Head, Structured Finance SEA at Standard Chartered Bank from January 2007 to December 2010. From September 2002 to December 2006, they were Director / Associate Director, Structured Finance at Standard Chartered Bank.

Koay has also worked at Century Bond Berhad, Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad and Bangsawan Group. Leon started their career as an Advocate & Solicitor at Messrs Adnan Sundra & Low from May 1996 to September 2002.

Koay holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Malaya and a Master of Laws from the National University of Singapore.

- Leon Koay attended the University of Oxford - Said Business School for an Executive Education Programme.

- Leon then went on to obtain their Master's Degree in LL.M from Harvard Law School.

- Lastly, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in LL.B from the International Islamic University in Malaysia.
