CEO at kununu

Moritz Kothe is the current CEO at kununu, a position they have held since January 2016. Prior to that, they were the Senior Vice President Business Unit Paid Memberships & Advertising at XING from April 2013 to December 2015. At XING, they were responsible for taking the Business Unit accounting for 60% of XING's revenue from 0% to 20% yoy revenue growth by 1) improving the Premium Membership product, 2) launching a Jobs Membership called ProJobs and 3) turning the Advertising business from Display into Native advertising launching new self service advertising products.

At kununu, their job is to empower people to choose the right place to work and create a better workplace for all. Moritz's assignment is to accelerate the growth of kununu, capturing the DACH market and expanding beyond Employer Branding. Moritz has driven kununu to >50 Mio Euro in Revenue in 2020, accelerating growth from a CAGR of 10% yoy to 40% yoy growth in 2017 – 2019 on all relevant business KPIs; leading >120 Fulltime Employees located in Berlin, Boston, Hamburg, Porto and Vienna. In 2016, they tried to expand kununu to the US and moved to Boston. However, the attempt failed and they reverted the efforts end of 2020.
