Salla Hietakoste

Salla Hietakoste is a Junior Researcher at Kuopio University Hospital since March 2019, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Physics at the University of Eastern Finland, expected to be completed in 2024. Prior experience includes roles as a Sales Negotiator at Sanoma Media Finland from June 2013 to February 2019, where Salla received the Sales Negotiator of the Year award for the evening shift in 2016. Additionally, Salla served as a Teacher Assistant at the University of Oulu, instructing courses in human physiology and biophysics between August 2017 and December 2018, and worked as a Research Assistant at OYS in June 2017, focusing on CT and MRI imaging in deep brain stimulation. Salla holds a Master of Science in Biophysics and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Oulu, along with an IB diploma from Oulun Lyseon lukio.
