Carolyn Jin

Carolyn Jin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Carolyn is currently employed at Kura Oncology, Inc. as the Director of Clinical Systems/Document Management. Prior to this role, they worked at Akebia Therapeutics as the Associate Director of Records Information Management from 2019 to 2021. At Akebia Therapeutics, they were responsible for developing and implementing legacy TMF review, Proof of Concept for eTMF and archival system, as well as directing GCP and GxP archival activities.

Before joining Akebia Therapeutics, Carolyn was a Senior Specialist in Regulatory Operations at bluebird bio in 2018. Preceding that, they held multiple positions at Akebia Therapeutics, including Manager of Regulatory Operations and Manager of Information Governance. In these roles, they managed information governance teams and led projects for EDMS implementation and process streamlining.

Carolyn also has experience at Biogen Idec as a Clinical Document Associate, General Clinical Operations Archives Coordinator, and Research and Discovery Records Management Intern. Carolyn'sresponsibilities included ensuring compliance with document standards, retaining control of clinical trial documents, and assisting in the tracking and compliance of records for drug trials.

Additionally, Carolyn has worked at Harvard University as a Researcher for the Schlesinger Library and at Simmons College as an Archives Management Cohort Online Facilitator. In these roles, they conducted research, organized materials, and provided support to students.

Carolyn Jin completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and European Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2006 to 2011. During the same period, they also studied Art History as part of their undergraduate education. Carolyn later pursued a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) with a focus on Archives/Archival Administration at Simmons College from 2012 to 2014.
