Premkumar Thirugnanam has a diverse work experience in the field of research and engineering. Premkumar began their career as a Research Fellow at Anna University, where they focused on developing zinc oxide nanostructures using pulsed laser deposition. Premkumar then worked at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a Research Associate, where they developed a novel laser-assisted MOCVD technique and published project results in high impact ACS journals. At Duke University, they served as a Research Associate, specializing in the development of Al2O3 coatings using atomic layer deposition (ALD) and providing thin film coating and imaging services to group members. Next, they joined ThinFilms, Inc. as a Process Engineer, where they designed and developed original recipes for anti-reflection coatings, optimized deposition conditions, and troubleshooted equipment. Premkumar continued their research career at Duquesne University as a Research Associate, involving in various research projects. Most recently, they worked at H Quest Vanguard, Inc as a Research Specialist and currently, they are working at Kurt J. Lesker Company as a Test Engineer.
