Rob McManus

Data Quality Specialist at Kuva Systems f/k/a MultiSensor Scientific

Rob McManus has worked in the environmental sciences field since 2008. From 2008-2009, they were a Field Technician at Century Environmental, where they installed and repaired polypropylene geomembrane liners for water treatment and tailing ponds, conducted fieldwork in remote locations throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and worked on field projects for extended periods, up to three weeks at a time. From 2011-2016, they were an Environmental Scientist at Tetra Tech, where they conducted fieldwork and site visits for Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments, reviewed historic drilling reports, and led hazardous materials surveys of over 50 natural gas meter stations throughout Alberta. From 2014-2021, they were a Soil Scientist at Matrix Solutions, Inc., where they completed baseline soil surveys for oil and gas approval applications in accordance with Pre-Disturbance Assessment guidelines, conducted Environmental Impact Assessments for oil and gas clients, and monitored construction of hydrostatic line testing of a pipeline. Rob is currently a Field Application Engineer at Kuva Systems.

Rob McManus attended Western Canada High School, followed by the University of Saskatchewan where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Environmental Earth Sciences from 2007 to 2011. In 2018, they enrolled in the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and graduated in 2020 with an Electrical Engineering Technology degree. In February 2021, they obtained a Technologist in Training certification from ASET | The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta.
