Michael Read

Michael Read has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Michael started their career as a Gift Adviser at Debenhams in 2008 and later worked as a Customer Services Assistant and Delivery Assistant at Argos. In 2011, they joined Pole To Win Europe as a QA Functionality Tester and later became a Senior QA Tester. Michael then worked as a Marketing Manager at O'Spring Retreat & Conference Center in 2014. From 2015 to 2016, they held roles at Hubio (formerly HiMEX) as a QA Analyst and Build Engineer, where they oversaw the software development lifecycle and automated reporting and release tasks. Michael joined Kwalee in 2016 as a Junior Games Server Programmer and progressively grew to become a Full Stack Engineer and Lead Server Engineer. At Kwalee, Michael implemented a highly configurable low-latency game backend and worked on non-game projects like AB Testing, Analytics, Marketing, and Publishing. In 2022, they joined Electric Manta as a Lead Server Engineer, where they developed a data-driven backend server for casual mobile games and implemented a frontend admin interface. Finally, in 2023, Michael returned to Kwalee as a Lead Server Engineer - Casual.

Michael Read completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Aberdeen from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended Lycée Geoffroy-Saint-Hilaire from 2003 to 2007, but no degree or field of study information is available.
