Conor McCarthy

Conor McCarthy's work experience begins with their role as a Checkout Operator at Musgraves Marketplace from June 2013 to May 2016. Conor then worked as an Instrumentation Engineer at SiriusXT from June 2016 to March 2018, where they focused on designing and implementing diagnostic tools for system source performance monitoring. Currently, McCarthy holds the position of VP of Data Science at KX since March 2022. In this role, they are responsible for developing machine learning solutions, particularly in the areas of feature engineering and feature selection, for the wider q community. McCarthy has also contributed to the implementation of the FRESH algorithm for feature extraction and hypothesis testing on high volumes of data.

Conor McCarthy completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics at University College Dublin from 2012 to 2016. Conor then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Experimental Physics with a concentration in Spectroscopy at the same institution from 2016 to 2017.
