Michael Gilfix

Michael Gilfix is a seasoned technology executive currently serving as the Chief Product and Engineering Officer at KX, focusing on product, engineering, and services related to time series and vector databases since June 2023. Prior to this role, Michael provided advisory services at Domo, Inc. on data application strategies for a brief period. With a long tenure at IBM, Michael held multiple leadership positions, including Vice President of Data & AI Product Management and Chief Product Officer for Cloud Paks & SaaS, where responsibilities encompassed leading products for the $5B Data & AI division and advancing next-generation platforms. Michael's extensive experience includes general management roles with P&L responsibility, product management for the IBM MobileFirst portfolio, driving global business development, and leading software design and architecture across various product portfolios. Michael earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
