Nathan Kundtz

CEO at Kymeta

Nathan Kundtz is the CEO at Kymeta, a company developing the mTenna suite of radically new satellite antennas. Prior to Kymeta, Nathan served as the Sr. Manager of the Center for Metamaterials at Intellectual Ventures from 2010 to 2012.

Nathan Kundtz has always been interested in pushing the boundaries of what is possible. This led him to their work with metamaterials – artificially engineered materials with properties not found in nature. Nathan’s work in this field led him to their current position as CEO of Kymeta, where they are leading the development of the mTenna suite of satellite antennas.

The mTenna antennas are built on electromagnetic metamaterials technology and are ultra-thin and flat, with no moving parts. This makes them easy to install and low maintenance. The mTenna technology will allow the satellite industry to reach markets never before addressed.

Nathan is passionate about making satellite technology more accessible and affordable for everyone. Nathan is driven by the belief that satellite technology can make a positive impact on the world and is committed to making Kymeta’s mTenna technology available to as many people as possible.

Nathan Kundtz received their PhD in Physics from Duke University, their M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, and their B.S. in Engineering Physics from Case Western Reserve University.
