David Tome

David Tome has over two decades of experience in software engineering and technical development, with a focus on military and first responder communications technology. Currently a Scientist in Software Engineering at L3Harris Technologies since May 2010, David is involved in designing and deploying advanced military radios on embedded hardware systems. Previous roles include Software Engineer 3 at Harris Corporation - GCS, where David led the design and coding for the resampling component of the GOES-R weather satellite system, and Development Director at Saforian, Inc., supporting web and mobile application development. David also has experience as an Independent Development Consultant and Principal Software Engineer at Vanteon, with early roles in game design and development at Infamous Games, Inc. David holds a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics from State University of New York College at Potsdam and an Associate's degree in the same fields from Mohawk Valley Community College.
