Postdoctoral Researcher at La Jolla Institute for Immunology

Sloan Lewis, Ph.D., is a skilled molecular biologist with extensive research experience. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at La Jolla Institute for Immunology since February 2022, Sloan previously completed a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at UC Irvine from July 2017 to December 2021. Prior roles include being a PhD Candidate at UC Irvine and an Athletic Leader Team Member for the Bay Area Women's Sports Initiative. As a student at UC Santa Barbara, Sloan held leadership positions as Team Captain and Officer of the rowing team while also working as a Research Assistant in the Rothman Lab, focusing on stem cells and CRISPR technology. An educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara and high school education at Archbishop Mitty High School.
