POSITION SUMMARYThe Data & Analytics Manager reports to the Director of Data & Analytics and is responsible for helping with the implementation of high-quality data collection and analysis practices across school sites, programs and at the organizational level to facilitate LA Promise Fund as a data-centered organization. The Data & Analytics Manager will work with the school staff to ensure that administrators and teachers become data-informed practitioners. This may include working with the Chief of Schools and the lead data person for the schools. The role will also work with Program Directors to develop data-informed practitioners. This is a full-time, exempt position.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Data Driven Professional Development
Work with the Director of Data & Analytics, Program Directors, and occasionally school administrators and teachers to use data in decision-making
Support the presentation of data to staff periodically throughout the year
Data Systems
Support the effective use of data systems and the implementation of its use at HQ and our school sites including:
Support the Black College Success Team, Chief Program Officer, and Program Directors to implement qualitative data collection systems to fidelity of design
Support periodic updating of Data Use Agreements with LAUSD or any future partners
Data Dashboard and Analytics
In conjunction with the Director of Data & Analytics, plan, develop and maintain organization-wide dashboards for data management (including but not limited to surveys, college data, program metrics, etc)
Work closely with the Director of Data & Analytics to develop and implement short and long-term data collection, analysis, and reporting across programs to ensure data-informed decision making
Support the Development Team in producing data for grant writing and reporting purposes
Other duties as assigned.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Strong statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Some professional experience in data management and systems, preferably in an education setting preferred
Degree in education, statistics, math, business, finance, or public policy/administration
Some experience with LAUSD compliance requirements (Title I, English Language Learners/Title III, QEIA, etc.) and federal grants (SIG, Race to the Top, etc.)
Some familiarity with databases, information systems, and visualization tools (Salesforce, PowerBI, Tableau)
Detail-oriented and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Presentation experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of databases, information systems, and visualization tools (Salesforce, PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, etc)
Experience in the education field desirable
Demonstrated project management expertise
A strong collaborator, good listener and strategist; comfortable receiving input from many sources, and able to analyze and formulate disparate information into a sound, well-organized plan
A flexible and adaptive individual willing to learn new systems and approaches as technology and platforms change
Entrepreneurial - a hard worker with a high energy level

Resourceful and able to multitask, prioritize, manage time effectively under pressure with a sense of urgency
Can be trusted to handle confidential information with discretion

Must clear a LiveScan criminal background check
Must clear a TB Risk Assessment
Must complete Mandated Reporter training
